The album Grieg Peasant Dances/Slåtter op 72, recorded on Grieg’s Steinway at Troldhaugen, was nominated for the Norwegian Grammy and awarded Record of the Year by Grieg Society Great Britain. Ingfrid Breie Nyhus plays the Grieg arrangements, and Åshild Breie Nyhus, the original harding fiddle tunes, and they both play them in a traditional Telemark style influenced by the playing of Grieg’s own source, the fiddler Knut Dahle.
